Two Years

I forgot I had this blog and decided to read all of my posts. I cannot believe it has been two years since I have last posted on this thing!

People say I need to start my blog up again and really work hard at it. Maybe I will do that. I think my layout needs a major overhaul if I decide to get serious with it.

I guess it would be good to get my feelings, struggles, hopes, fears, and just my life put out on the web. It is still scary at the same time because I do not feel ready to let all my feelings be seen by the entire world. But, I mean, it's what all the cool kids do right?!

I wish I would have caught up with it because it was fun to read all the old posts even if there were only 5. It reminded me of feelings and small details that I would have never remembered if it wouldn't have been for my one time, short lived blog.

Here are a few things that come to mind that have happened in the last two years:
1. I married Chase on August 7, 2012. (Our ring ceremony and reception was on August 11) I can't believe it has already been 8 months!

2. I will be student teaching in August in Ogden, Utah. Then I will be a certified teacher!
3. My little brother is now 7! I seriously regret not keeping up with writing down what he said when he was younger. He still says the wittiest comments.
4. My dad passed away very suddenly of a heart attack. It was and still is a hard thing to deal with but I know he is proud of me and would want me to keep pushing forward and become as successful as possible. He was so determined and I know he would be happy that he passed that down to his children.

Random final thought:
I go to a fourth grade classroom three days a week to prepare myself for student teaching. I taught PE one day and played the game with the children. Do not play tag games with ten year olds if you do not want a wake up call that your body is not as young as you may think it is. My knees were like "Uh.... you can't make sharp cuts like that anymore, especially without a warmup!" Love teaching though so it was worth it.
